During the last twenty-five years Kan has made more than thirty woodblock prints which combined his drawings of birds (mostly owls) with verses by Santoka Tanaeda. Ten examples are included in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. These prints were intended to be amusing so Kan drew the birds in an entertaining way and Santoka’s verses were equally entertaining. To see more prints by Kan click here.
